Schools close amid Wisconsin manhunt for gun theft suspect

Jakubowski is wanted as a fugitive suspected of stealing firearms from a rural Janesville gun shop and sending an anti-government manifesto to President Donald Trump, according to sheriff's office. Jakubowski allegedly made "unspecified threats" against public schools. The manifesto does label federal officials as "agents of the 1% who enslave and keep the population down".

"Investigators have followed up on approximately 320 tips and leads and still have approximately 50 that need to be resolved", Sheriff's Commander Troy Knudson said Sunday in a news release.

The Rock County Sheriff's Office released on Saturday, April 8th new photos of Joseph Jakubowski, a man they consider armed and unsafe. Spoden said more than 150 law enforcement officers were now engaged in an urgent nationwide manhunt for Jakubowski. Jakubowski also reportedly posted a Facebook video showing him putting an envelope containing the manifesto in the mail.

Tuesday night, authorities say Jakubowski also brazenly burglarized Armageddon Gun Shop.

Jakubowski is described as 5ft 10 inches tall and weighs around 200lbs. Further, he's "well-known" to Janesville authorities and has a criminal record that includes over 30 traffic-related offenses.

He has a bulletproof vest and helmet, authorities said. Police increased patrols near Janesville churches, although investigators said there was no specific threat.

Kendall Jenner's Pepsi protest ad prompts online backlash
A pair of stylish sunglasses are all that stand between our hero and the ignorant populace beholden to the status quo. A bunch of people must have thought the now-infamous Pepsi ad featuring Kendall Jenner was a great idea.

Jakubowski was reportedly "highly agitated" about USA politics in the aftermath of the 2016 presidential election, officials said.

Across Rock County, national and state agencies are reviewing the latest intel. Authorities say they are still searching for Jakubowski and additional federal resources have been brought in from across the nation to aid in the investigation.

Spoden said Jakubowski recently sent a 161-page anti-government manifesto to the White House and gave a copy to one his associates, who turned it over to police.

"They are absolutely keeping their eyes wide for any sign of this individual, any calls that come in, tips of possible sightings have been getting a very immediate response", said Commander Troy Knudson of the Rock County Sheriff's Office.

A combined force of 150 law enforcement officials spanning local, state, and federal agencies are now on the search for 32-year-old fugitive Joseph Jakubowski.
