Sprint launching new Unlimited Freedom offer, ending 50 percent switcher deal

Sprint launching new Unlimited Freedom offer, ending 50 percent switcher deal

Starting April 7, Sprint's Unlimited Freedom for new customers starts at $50/month for the first line and then jumps to $80 for 2 lines, $100 for 3 lines, and $120 for 4 lines (prices with autopay turned on). From there, two lines of unlimited data will cost you $40 per month, while four lines of data will cost $30 per month.

Sprint has announced its intention to get rid of its metered plans and go all-in on unlimited as it tries to find a balance between the intensely competitive USA wireless market and its own need to keep revenues high.

"More than 90% of our customers are already choosing Unlimited", Sprint marketing exec Roger Solé says of the offering. As all four major wireless carriers have begun offering unlimited data plans, Sprint has faced increased competition. Streaming gaming will top out at 8Mbps, while streaming music will go up to 1.5Mbps. Customers also get 10GB per month per line for tethering (2G after) and "high speed data for most everything else". This deal, however, seems much more attractive and long-term, since it looks like HBO will be a permanent fixture on one's TV long as they keep their Unlimited Plus plan subscription in check.

Sprint's previous Unlimited promotion ends tonight, and the company is retiring its well-known "50% off" and moving away from its "Better Choice" metered plans.

Dem senator warns of political danger on Supreme Court vote
Gorsuch's nomination needs the backing of eight Democrats or Independents, along with all 52 Republicans, to break a filibuster. During his confirmation hearing earlier this month, Gorsuch refused to answer questions about the identities of JCN's funders.

"Sprint launched "50% off" in 2015 as a bold offer to attract customers, and it was extremely successful".

AT&T is making the move with HBO as all of its major USA mobile service rivals, including T-Mobile, Sprint, and Verizon, introduce or expand unlimited plans of their own.

For the last three years, Sprint has had one killer deal to try and persuade people to switch.

That doesn't work when customers are switching from an unlimited plan, as there's nothing left to upsell to. Sprint has not had a profitable year since 2006, reports Yahoo. Includes unlimited talk, text and data. Taxes, surcharges and restrictions apply.
