Jaguar Classic to debut first 'Reborn' E-type

Jaguar Classic to debut first 'Reborn' E-type

And so the first Reborn E-Type will be making its official debut at the Techno-Classica Essen show on April 5.

We liked it when it redid the Range Rover Classic - but the latest offering in Jaguar's Reborn range may cause you to break into a light sweat. Unique access to build records and original drawings held by the Jaguar Heritage Trust, and the team's decades of experience in restoration up to concours-winning standard, ensure absolute authenticity. "The E-type is the most iconic sports vehicle of all time, so we are delighted to be able to give new life to expertly selected examples for discerning customers around the world to own and enjoy". It's a matching-numbers 1965 coupe with the 4.2-liter mill and was original sold in California.

The only parts that will be changed are "safety-critical" parts, although in some cases the workshop will fit new body panels.

Tim Hannig, director at Jaguar Land Rover Classic, said: "The launch of E-Type Reborn is a hugely exciting development for Jaguar Classic". And despite going out of production in 1975, you can now buy a pretty much new one directly from Jaguar.

The Reborn E-Types are also a lot cheaper than those million-pound vintage roadsters.but that doesn't mean they'll be cheap.

Lululemon shares tumble after disappointing sales forecast
D L Carlson Investment Group Inc. increased its position in shares of lululemon athletica inc .by 40.2% in the second quarter. Goldman Sachs (GS) upgraded CyberArk , an Israeli provider of network security software, to buy with a 64 price target.

Prices for the E-Type Reborn vehicles depend on specification, but start from £285,000. Notably, buyers can pay extra for an upgraded cooling system, an all-syncromesh gearbox, and bigger front brakes sourced from the second-series model introduced in 1968. Its sensational jet aircraft-inspired lines and 150mph performance set a new benchmark for high-performance motoring in the 1960s.

This time it's Jaguar's most famous auto of all that's getting the rebuild treatment - the E-Type.

This is the first restoration project undertaken by Jaguar Classic.

Jaguar explains it's in the ideal position to breathe new life into these rare, valuable machines. Solid colors, racing roundels, racing stripes and one-off designs may all be commissioned, with prices for these starting at £8,000 ($10,000).
