Rocket League getting Hot Wheels cars

Rocket League getting Hot Wheels cars

"Twin Mill III" and "Bone Shaker" will be storming Rocket League matches starting February 21st. Additionally, each auto comes with six exclusive decals, most with the Hot Wheels logo and/or flames.

If you don't feel like shelling out for the cars, however, Rocket League says that all players will get a shot at scoring some in-game Hot Wheels swag. There will be 12 Battle-Cars - including Octane, Dominus, Masamune, Hotshot, Grog, X-Devil, Merc, and Backfire - available this spring, and each auto comes with its own miniature Rocket Ball.

Psyonix has announced premium DLC for Rocket League that features two unique cars, sold separately.

As for Hot Wheels, it's the latest move by Mattel to embrace digital platforms.

Psyonix will add some free Hot Wheels content for all players on February 21: a "Hot Wheels" antenna and topper, "Treasure Hunt" flag and "Shark Bite" topper.

It should be noted that this is only in-game content for Rocket League.

Rocket League is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC; the game is a success worldwide, which already has over 25 million players.

The agreement also brings more Hot Wheels items into the game.
