Hugh Laurie Grateful for Win at 'Last-Ever Golden Globes'

Meanwhile, Hugh Laurie, Tom Hiddleston, and Olivia Culpa beat out "The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story" heavyweights to score three trophies for "The Night Manager".

Hiddleston, 35, applauded Laurie on scooping Best Supporting Actor in a TV series for The Night Manager before offering a handshake.

The actor told the star-studded crowd: "Thank you first to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for this unbelievable honour".

Colman was unable to attend the event, but Hiddleston and Laurie both used their acceptance speeches as platforms to make a statement. The six-part thriller was adapted from the 1993 John Le Carre novel of the same name and made by the BBC and USA network AMC.

He dedicated his win to aid workers in South Sudan, where he had recently travelled, and where he said he had met humanitarian personnel who had watched the show while sheltering from shelling.

Multiple Fatalities Reported In Airport Shooting In Fort Lauderdale, Fla
Bill Nelson told multiple news stations that the suspect is 26-year-old Esteban Santiago, an American citizen born in New Jersey. Witnesses said the male shooter emptied several magazines of bullets, then dropped to the floor spread-eagled to await arrest.

So says the Hollywood Foreign Press, which awarded the actor the Golden Globe for Supporting Actor in a TV Drama, Comedy, Musical, Miniseries or Movie.

This marks the actor's seventh Golden Globe nomination and third win, previously taking back-to-back honors in 2006 and '07 for his performance as Dr. Gregory House on Fox's House.

"This is obviously a awful mix-up".

"I don't mean to be gloomy", Laurie said. It's just that it has the words "Hollywood, ' "foreign, ' and 'press" in the title". Laurie went on to give one more shout out to the Donald.
