Derrick Rose's M.I.A

Derrick Rose's M.I.A

Just a few minutes before Monday night's tip-off against New Orleans, the Knicks tweeted only a terse announcement that "Derrick Rose is not with the team". We're not going to go into it. And the same went for anyone who knew him in Chicago - with team officials trying to search for anyone who had an idea if he was safe.

Teammate Joakim Noah told reporters Monday night that Rose's health is "OK", which was "a relief for all of us".

People miss work. What remains unclear is why Rose couldn't do so little as send a text saying he wasn't going to be at Knicks' game on Monday night.

Rose wasn't listed on the injury report, and Hornacek didn't mention that Rose was unavailable at his pregame press conference. The exact details of the family situation still remained a mystery, but coach Jeff Hornacek assured reporters "everything will become clear later on".

The Knicks announced on Tuesday that Rose was fined for the absence and will be "expected to be in uniform" for the team's Wednesday game against the Philadelphia 76ers.

"Manchester City" humiliated "West Ham" in the FA Cup
Ivorian midfielder Yaya Toure opened the scoring from the spot in the 33rd minute before Raheem Sterling forced Nordtveit to turn in into his own net in the 41st.

The vanishing of one of the team's key players has left other Knicks shaken.

Rose will be fined by the team for missing the game, potentially nearly $200,000, but will not receive any further disciplinary action.

Where in the world is Derrick Rose? "I was like, 'No, there was nothing.' He was happy we won, you know". Fine by me. I don't want Phil speaking anymore; I'm afraid of him going on another rant, insulting every quality player in the National Basketball Association. There's already been speculation of trouble between Rose and Hornacek, especially after Rose was benched in favor of undrafted rookie Ron Baker at the end of Friday's game in Milwaukee. "I've got to go talk to him".

"Right now we don't have information to give you anything".

He's averaging 17.3 points in 33 games following the blockbuster trade that shipped him from Chicago.
