This Republican Sheriff Thinks Prison Inmates Should Build Trump's Proposed Border Wall

"We want President Trump to have all the tools he needs to build the wall", Scalise reportedly said.

Trump sent, deleted, and then resent a tweet Friday morning addressing the issue.

In addition, CNN reported on Friday morning that Trump is asking Congress, not Mexico, to pay for the wall.

President-elect Donald Trump has hit out at "dishonest" media reports for suggesting the USA government will foot the bill for a new border wall and not Mexico, as he promised throughout his election campaign.

Trump won the presidential elections on November 8 partly on his campaign pledge to combat illegal immigration by building a wall along the US-Mexican border.

Razer's laptop with 3 monitors is no joke
Well Razer wants to extend Chroma from multi-colour lighting to full blown video projection and this seems to be the first step. Nor are these cheap little screens: They're 4K screens with NVIDIA monitor tech to ensure that they all work properly.

CNN reports that any such move might break a key promise of Trump's campaign, while Politico quote Republican Rep. Luke Messer as saying it is a tactic to bypass opposition. The matter generated some fallout between Trump and Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto when the two publicly disagreed about the wall payment after Trump flew to Mexico to meet with him in August. Mexico's president has said the country will not pay for the wall. Last spring Trump said he would accomplish this by freezing money transfers from the United States to Mexico until our neighbors to the south agreed to fork over billions for the wall.

Congressional Republicans are considering tucking the initial funding for the project into a spending bill that must pass by April 28 to keep the government funded.

The promised southern border wall has been a point of contention between Trump and Mexican leaders.

Trump says that he plans to have American taxpayers shell out the billions of dollars needed for the wall "for sake of speed", and that Mexico will still ultimately pay for it "later". Seizing all of that money would probably be more than enough to pay for the border wall. Since a refusal to fund the wall could require Democratis to shut down the government, Republicans are basically betting that their opponents will be too afraid to take such a high-stakes political stance. Republicans are optimistic that Democrats will reluctantly vote to fund the government and the border wall, noting that they need just eight votes in the Senate to do so.

It is not clear how much could be done along the 2,000-mile border without additional action by Congress. Legislators passed the Secure Fence Act of 2006, but most of those 700 miles have already been built.
